I tried two new things this past week...
#1 An Omelet
Most think I'm crazy that I don't like eggs. Up to this point I have always associated them with having my tonsils taken out in the 5th grade, I think I over did it on the scrambled eggs that week and don't remember liking them since. After reading countless cookbooks with breakfast items containing eggs in one form or another I decided to get up the nerve and give it a try. Rob made me a egg white omelet with peppers, spinach and feta. It was o.k., not something I'm dieing to try again but eggs are not out of the question. I'm thinking a quiche, Rob says it's more veggies with less eggs, that's more up my alley

#2 Salmon
I don't like fish, seafood, anything of the sort. This was a big stretch for me. I did it and it was good? I could not eat it plain but was happy eating a bite with some broccoli or spinach salad. The kids all ate their portions up and my carnivore daughter, Aubrey asked for seconds :) Sorry Aubrey, Salmon is to expensive for seconds.

Visit
While Nat was here we had a full schedule to things we saw/did
*Rode bikes along the National Mall

*Visit to the National Zoo, to see the pandas that were not out

*A day trip to Philly: Liberty bell, Constitution hall and Ben Franklin children museum and leaving at rush hour so we could spend 1 hour getting onto the freeway :)

*A visit to Annapolis, walking around the naval academy in the bitter cold

I look back at the last post, made at the first of February...
where has time gone??
I'm not sure
I do know that I have been busy experimenting in the kitchen with garbanzo bean flour, coconut flour and a lot of other flours that I had never heard of before last month
Playing hostess again, it's fun! We have not had visitors for awhile
this visitor was extra special, Aunt Nat who is leaving on a mission next month
Working in the yard and garden
and a multitude of other exciting things!
