Beautiful Baby!

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

So the blog master is back in control. Here are some additional pics that I took over the past couple of days. Just in love with our new little one. I forgot that they came this small, and the nurses kept commenting on how big my baby was. All is well at home. We received 3-4 inches of snow today, what a fun thing to bring a baby home in. It is great for the girls to have something to play in with their dad. Thank you to everyone for the phone calls and love.

Here are a few pictures of Jocelyn Lilly Holman!!! She arrived on 1/23/09 at 4:48 PM. She weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. Meredith is doing great, as is Jocelyn, and as you can see from the pictures her BIG sisters are very excited and already in love. Of course there will be more pictures once Meredtih is back in control of the Blog but I just wanted to send a few tonight so people could see our newest angel.

Crazy!

It's the final countdown, 1 week to go and then I will be a mama again. I am ready to let the heartburn, carpel tunnel, pinched nerves and back aches leave this body. But as I was driving Aubrey to pre-school today the temperature gauge on the van read that the outside temperature was 15 degrees, then you add in the humidity which cuts right through you. Weather channel said it felt like -2 degrees. Why do I want a baby brought into this Arctic tundra? I thought having my twins in January, in California was cold, that was nothing. I am thinking of warm winters in Arizona. I guess weather channel is saying that it will warm up to the mid 30's by next week, that will fill like pure bliss.
M&S have another basketball game tomorrow, they just love attending and showing off their skills. Madison scored a basket last week and was very proud. Aubrey keeps reminding me what a great dribbler she is, next year she will be able to play on a team. With their height we are aiming for greatness.
Also wanted to post on of my most recent projects, it seems that I have been working on a whole slew of things lately, trying to catch up, clean out and reorganize. I found this pattern for baby booties and just had to try it out for my own little one. Hope her cute little tooties fit, if not the girls have already claimed them for their baby dolls.

M&S Birthday

Sunday, January 4, 2009

We had a busy but fun week. Our good friends came into town to celebrate New Years and M&S 7'th Birthday. It is hard to believe that my little girls are turning 7 tomorrow. I took the girls to the mall yesterday and treated them to Libby Lu makeovers. Nail polish, eye shadow and a hairdo. They thought it was great. That evening we enjoyed their favorite dinner request, Cafe Rio at home. Then is was onto presents and cake. Madison received legos, artist pencils and a few other items. Samantha got a pogo stick, little animal baby nursery and animals to match and a jump rope. It was a great week and M&S thought their day was awesome. We started a tradition last year of singing Happy Birthday to each of them. They think it is great to have their "own" song.

Back to school tomorrow, yahh shouts mom. My c-section is scheduled for Jan. 23rd. Only 18 days left, but who is counting. I bought some church shoes last month, everything else had been outgrown. Today the buckles would not go around by ankles, it's time to have this little one out.
I'm also including a pic of Samantha's chin. Friends and her were playing wheelbarrow on our wood floor a couple of days back. She fell onto the floor and this was the result. Nasty chin, but brave little girl.
