Babies always are putting my senses into high gear. The cuddles, cuteness just do it to me. Now a few questions to ponder.
Smell, why do babies not have morning breath but their diapers can send anyone through the roof?
Touch, I could squeeze those little checks and touch those little toes all day long. At what point do little toes become smelly and gross?
Sight, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful baby. I love watching the little expressions and faces that Jo pulls. It is also a joy to watch my older ones interact with Jocelyn
Taste, the chocolate cravings are back and I feel like I could eat all day long. I guess my body is in full gear to provide for the little one.
Hear, I love to listen to Samantha singing a lullaby to Jo and Aubrey telling baby J about something fun that she had done at pre-school. Even the baby crying has not been horrible, it's almost amusing when she lets out a loud scream letting us know, "I mean business!!"

We made it! Our family of 6 survived our first official day at church. We have become a long pew family, no longer fitting into our side bench three rows from the back. It was sad looking at that pew yesterday, felt like we should have been sitting there. Now we take up almost half a long bench with carrier and all. M & A wore sponge curlers Saturday night, they looked so cute with all their curls.

Samantha is taking dance class this year and turning into a twinkle toes. There was parent observation this past week and Rob was able to attend. She loved having Daddy there to watch her twirl and spin.
Madison is in love with her little sister. The minute she wakes in the morning, "can I hold baby Jocelyn?" The minute she arrives home from school, "can I hold baby Jocelyn?" For the most part I love the offers, this time with a new little one I can trust Madison to hold the baby. It brings to mind a story of Madison and baby Aubrey. Aubrey was just a few weeks old, I laid her on the couch to grab a load of laundry. When I returned my baby was not on the couch. I quickly scanned the room and heard little squaks coming from behind the recliner. Much to my horror Madison was behind the recliner holding Aubrey with the most guilty look on her face. To this day I do not know how Aubrey was pulled from the couch and over to the recliner, maybe it is better that I don't know. Madison has been a little mother from the day she was born.
Baby J is three weeks old. Where is the time going? She slept from 10 p last night until 5 this morning. The little one must have known her mama needed the sleep. I'm not anticipating a repeat tonight. I was looking through an old photo box yesterday and found a picture of the twins sleeping in this chair and Aubrey as a baby in this chair, well worth the money Lazy Boy. So I love Rachel Ray, but last night I feel that I had a one up on her. Rachel Ray loves to cook meals in 30 minutes, start to finish. Last night I did so much more. Here is a Mother's recipe for Slidders (mini burgers) with french fries.
Slidders and Fries:
Hamburger
Feta cheese
Sprinkle of McCormick
4 large potatoes
Olive oil to toss on potatoes
Seasoings
Condiments for slidders (pickles, mustard, fry sauce, onions, lettuce, etc.)
Have hubby combine ingredients for patties, he starts the grill and ask me to watch the potatoes that are in the oven. Meanwhile we just finished up two piano lessons, M & S are working on Valentines, A is making a marker & library track in the t.v. room and baby J is doing the typical 6 p.m. show, fussing. Throw baby J in the sling and do the mommy bounce while carefully slicing onions. Pull potatoes out of the oven and turn, place back in oven. Rinse broccoli and place in pan to steam, mix up fry sauce, help M tape and fold her Valentines, wash lettuce, chop lettuce again carefully because the mommy bounce needs to continue, coral kids to set table, wash up, clean up, turn fries, plate pickles, stir onions, mommy bounce and its time to eat. Bon Appetite, I'm laying down for a nap.

Big Sister Aubrey is having a great time with a new little sister. She is the best when is comes to taking stinky diapers to the trash can, rubbing lotion on Jocelyn's legs and arms and rocking baby sister in the chair while I get a few things done around the house. I was most worried about the transition for my Doodle but she is doing great so far. I will keep my fingers crossed. Jocelyn continues to be a great baby, hope our luck holds out.
