Life

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

I look back at the last post, made at the first of February...

where has time gone??

I'm not sure

I do know that I have been busy experimenting in the kitchen with garbanzo bean flour, coconut flour and a lot of other flours that I had never heard of before last month

Playing hostess again, it's fun! We have not had visitors for awhile

this visitor was extra special, Aunt Nat who is leaving on a mission next month

Working in the yard and garden

and a multitude of other exciting things!

Our dinner

This was our dinner time last week. S was getting creative with her food placement :) It makes me a little sad looking at the lovely plate of spaghetti. I have endometriosis and have been looking into alternative treatments. My doctor wants to put be on Lupron for 6 months, the stuff sounds awful, night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings...things I get to look forward to when I'm 60. I don't want to go through that now. I have been running into a lot of articles at random places about gluten avoidance and endometriosis improving and in some cases going away completely. Is it coincidence or help from above? I'm giving it a try, I'm on day two, augghh!

Here is the list of foods I am to avoid:

wheat
red meats
refined sugars and honey
caffeine
chocolate
dairy
fried foods
saturated fats and oils
soy products and soy protein products
convenience foods
tinned foods
additives and preservatives alcohol

Wholly cannoli, I could use a cannoli right now. I'm starting with wheat and sugar, baby steps I tell you. Check back in a week, I may be face down in a pile of snicker wrappers

If you have any gluten free recipes, suggestions I would love to hear them!!
