When we started planning our 2018 Home Leave
We never guessed our first stop would be Maryland
All the stars aligned and I was able to spend 9 days there with my girls
Rob joined us for the last 3
It was a jam packed week and we didn't step into Washington D.C. for even a day
So many people to see, restaurants to visit :)
activities to attend and just living up our Maryland life
It's home for my kids and it felt like home to me
We were so happy to spend time there
Prepare yourself for picture overload the next few weeks
Counting down time on planes and airports
Brasilia to Sao Paulo to Atlanta to Dulles
It was a long 24 hours but we made it all in one piece
Welcome to Maryland! This was a fun sign to see again
Jet lag and time travel catching up with this little one
Food, glorious food
Getting my fix at Kabob and Khari,
introducing my little to bagels she kept calling them "pastel",
a Brazilian food that she has grown used to
and Pho at my favorite noodle shop near Paint Branch High School
Mini reunion at PBHS for my bigs
We celebrated Aubrey's middle school promotion a week late
In family tradition we enjoyed the Indian buffet at Royal Taj
M & S celebrated there 2 years prior and we thought it appropriate to celebrate with A as well
We just might make it back there for Jo's promotion as well :)
Loved seeing this view once again
Our family misses living near a temple which is currently 12 hours from our home
So super grateful to the Willis family
Put up with my crew invading their basement and life for the week we were in town
The "William" crew watching videos from last summer's vacation exploring the
Amazon Rain forest together
