6 Month Monkey

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

Jocelyn was in the doctors office for her 6 month check-up yesterday. Our "short one" that was only 75% last doctor visit has now topped the charts at over 100% for height, go volleyball! Her stats for this visit were:

27 7/8" height
18 10.5 lbs.
16 1/2" head circumference

Jocelyn is such a joy and delight. She is thinking about crawling, gets up on hands and knees and rocks and moves a little. Aubrey introduced her to "Lilly", a singing/talking frog. She gets such a kick (ha-ha) out of it when the frog starts to sing. Also started her on baby food dinners and puff cereal. Loves both, but we wouldn't expect anything less, she is a Holman baby.

Le Tour De France

This is in honor of those that watched the many days of biking (shout-out to the Willis clan). Last night in honor of le Tour de France finish we had a F.H.E. on the importance of bicycle riding. Aubrey taught the lesson and told us how we could all benefit from riding a bicycle. Afterwards our bike mechanic checked tire pressure, lubed the chains, adjusted bike seats and handle bars. I wonder when Lance last checked his own bike seat?

Sous Chef's

My girls favorite t.v. channel is food network, weird? I don't know. They love to watch any show that is on that channel, most fav recently has been, "Next food network star." When Rob saw these aprons/chef hats on a recent work trip he knew they were a must. The girls have loved wearing them around the kitchen while they help cook. This morning the menu was pancakes, cheesy eggs and orange juice. The more we let them help the better they are getting. This morning Madison cracked five eggs with no shells landing in the bowl, impressive!

Bed Head

This is the best kind of bed head to have, just awoken from an afternoon nap waffle blanket bed head!

Jo is trying to show off her most recent addition, two new pearly whites

Baby Killer

Jocelyn has a new fascination this week...baby dolls. Well actually just one baby doll, this poor little doll has been slobbered, kissed, and clawed more in the past week that in it's entire life.

Going in for the attack
Take out the eyes, then the nose
Victory!
And then the look of surprise, "I have done nothing!"
