Trip to Heaven

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

The running joke between the family is that Panguitch is a little piece of heaven. We experienced a little piece of heaven during our recent trip out west. Family reunion time at King Creek, located about 30 minutes southeast of Panguitch. Lots of fun for all...

A, do you have any food left for me?

J refused to eat cantaloupe prior to the trip. What was so appealing this time. Eating it off the rind or having fingernails so grubby they added flavor?

Catching snakes with cousins, a tradition that Rob loved growing up. The tradition continues with the big boys leading the pack

Climbing trees with cousins, again a tradition that Rob's remembers doing

While we were away

I walked into the backyard this week from a two week vacation. My garden was taking over the yard. Tomato vines crawling all over the place, over eight feet tall. My herb plants towering over where they once stood. Best of all, over 4 pounds of fresh green beans, I have been in heaven the past two nights eating these for dinner.

Summer in Full Swing

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Summer is officially in full swing this week. S, M & A started swim team, doing really awesome. I am so impressed that their breathing and strokes have improved in just one week. They also look really cool in their swim caps and goggles.

Birthday Fun

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Aubrey had a great birthday, complete with Cafe Rio dinner, birthday cake, lots of presents, and a friend party held on Saturday.
Aubrey has grown a lot over the past year, so much that she had outgrown her bike and was ready for a new one. Probably should have put her on a new one this winter but we waited for the b-day. She was excited to have a bike with brakes by the handle bars.

M and I worked on this quilt together and then M decided that she wanted to give it to A for a birthday present. It has been well loved this past week.

The birthday party was held at a awesome park; train ride, carousel and lots of playgrounds to play on. Aubrey had decided on a train theme complete with invites, outfits, party favors, etc. Imagine the disappointment when we arrived at the park and discovered that the train was closed. Onto plan two, we rode the carousel and the kids had a great time.
