After spending the morning at the bird park we jumped in the van with Chavez
and made a 15ish minute drive to the entrance of Iguacu Falls on the Brazilian side
We had heard reports of which side is better to view
At the end of the trip we were really grateful to have seen both sides
The gang waiting for the shuttle bus to take us in to the boat area
First stop via an electric train, then a jeep and then a elevator to the base to board the boats
I don't have any photos from our boat ride because we were drenched when the ride was over
It was a cool but expensive experience to ride a boat to the base of one of the waterfalls
It was also fun the next day when we were on the AR side to see the boats that we had been riding in
Gwen hated the experience and kept asking when it would be over!
Hopefully we can get her on more of a tam boat ride soon
Panorama of the falls and it still doesn't do it justice
Walking out to Devil's Throat
Butterflies galore, this was just the start
These coati's are running all over the park and you are strongly discouraged from feeding them
The signs around the park of peoples hands being bitten into was discouragement enough
Jo proudly displaying the waterfalls
After heading back to the hotel for warm showers and clean up time we took the shuttle back into town and experienced Rafain Churrascaria Dinner & Show
"45 extravagantly dressed artists take the stage, with costumes representing traditional dress from Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Be captivated by the energetic music as the Argentinian tango performance begins. Expect to hear traditional Mexican and Andean music and see Brazilian capoeira and samba—the perfect combination of Latin America's most enthralling performances."
