Trip to the Happiest Place on Earth

Friday, July 11, 2008

This May we took the family to DisneyWorld. The girls were in seventh heaven. In my opinion it was the best Disney trip we have taken. The girls were all tall enough to ride all the rides, thanks to 120 % height in all my children. Aubrey loved every ride she went on, laughing with hands held high on all the roller coasters. Samantha was a little cautious about some rides but rode every ride in the park. Madison was a little daredevil loving everything. It was a great trip with great memories, now when do we get to go back??

These pictures were taken at Duke Gardens, North Carolina. On the drive down we stopped for two days at Joe and Emily Keller's home. It was fun to see our good friends again and visit the city of Durham, NC.

Aubrey celebrated her birthday at the Keller's home. She told everyone for the rest of the trip that it was her birthday. She was proud to be 4.

The first morning of our trip officially started with a Princess Breakfast. We began at the gates of Epcot and were escorted to Norway to enjoy a typical priced Disney meal. It was worth the price as each princess walked around and talked to each of our girls. We were able to meet Aurora, Snow White, Mulan, Belle and Mary Poppins.

Madison taking a pose with Captian Hook. I loved Epcot!!! It was their garden tour and all the flower beds were in full bloom. There were so many fun things for both the gardener and my girls to spy and look at.

My three little puffer fish. This was right outside the Nemo ride/experience

Bree and I meeting with characters at Animal Kingdom

By the end of the trip Dumbo had not been ridden and Aubrey thought that she was missing out on something. We tried to explain that after riding Thunder Mtn. and Mt. Everest that Dumbo might be a little borning? To no avail this ride had to be done. The last day of the trip we were at the Magic Kingdom's gates at 9:00 a.m. waiting for the park to open. I ran with the kids to Dumbo and we were the first guests to arrive. We were so grateful we rode to first. Within 15 minutes we had covered the entire "kids area" and were ready to move on.

Posing with Legos at Disney Marketplace

Dancing with the parade at MGM

My brave Tower of Terror riders. Samantha and I both voted as least favorite ride. Madison rode four times in a row and still loved it!

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun! One last big vacation before the baby comes...or, if it's a boy, your last vacation, period. I'm just kidding. :o) It's would be really fun if it was a boy (he would be extremely smothered with love and kisses from his big sisters I'm sure). Of course, you might be like my sister and have 5 girls (she says it's a good thing she never had a boy because she'd have no clue what to do with him). Either way, it will be great and honestly, I found that getting used to 4 kids was way easier than adjusting to having 3, but what am I saying you survived twins-you can do anything now. :o)
